Jorge’s own life journey reflects his passion for migration. Originally from Bogotá, he moved to Chicago, where he completed high school, before continuing his education in Germany, where he studied Political Science at the Free University in Berlin. His academic journey took him to Australia, where he earned a B.A. in International Studies with Distinction from RMIT University and a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University. Jorge further enhanced his legal expertise by obtaining a Juris Doctor from American University - Washington College of Law in Washington, DC.

Admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of New South Wales in Australia, Jorge holds a Diploma in Legal Practice and a Graduate Certificate in Immigration Law and Practice from the Australian National University. He also possesses a Certificate in US Immigration Law from American University. Jorge’s professional credentials include his former registration as a Migration Agent with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) in Australia, as well as memberships in the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA), the NSW Law Society, and the Law Council of Australia.

Jorge’s professional experience is as diverse as his personal background. He has worked in the migration field, starting from his own personal immigration experience and while contributing to the Counter-Trafficking Department of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Bogotá and at Oxfam Australia in Melbourne. Jorge’s expertise spans USA, Australian, and Colombian immigration law, where he advises both corporate and individual clients on matters including foreign investment, real estate, commercial law, family law, labor law, and civil law.

As a dual citizen of Colombia and Australia, Jorge is fluent in English, Spanish, German, and Italian, enabling him to connect with clients across cultures and languages.
